Leicester City Football Club was formed in 1884 and makes their home in the King Power Stadium.
We took design intent and started work immediately on sourcing parts, engineering and making sure that the material specifications to create a rustic, industrial look and feel were located, sampled and approved. From hunting down astroturf, scaffold boards and creating distressed new metal, the team worked hard to ensure that the final product was both fit for a retail environment and also visually impactful.
We used our Best Of Both approach to seamlessly blend our service offering to LCFC, using our specialist in-house capabilities, as well as tried and tested supply partners for some of the complex operations, such as oversized powder-coating. All elements came together, ensuring a consistent finish across the store environment. We also took on the challenge to specify and source the technology and screens for the store, working on very tight timelines to make a stunning curved TV wall and complete 100+ screens throughout the shop, to achieve a more immersive experience.
The result of this super-quick turnaround was outstanding, with an amazing fan opening party in-store celebrating the launch of the new adidas 2018/19 kit. All of the collaborating parties were very proud of the achievement and the finished environment looks amazing and underpins how the Kesslers team can support the merchandising and technology ambitions of customers to create memorable shopper experiences.
The launch of the Fanstore went really well yesterday and feedback from the public and LCFC was incredibly positive.Thank you all for your hard work in delivering a great project within a very tight programme.
