M&S Battersea

Kesslers London manufactured and installed a new space for the M&S clothes-only store in Battersea Power Station. Briefed with designs provided from M&S, Kesslers London ensured that the designs were brought to life by using high-quality materials and the Kesslers London in-house expert craftsmanship. The all-new store aimed to invite customers to a new shopping experience by removing the food shop area and making a new, sleek, and exciting space, with a focus on the clothes, all while still encapsulating the familiar sense of the iconic brand.

THE PROJECT

As M&S branches out to all new retail heights, it was extremely important all design plans were brought to life exactly as planned through Kesslers London’s industry-leading quality and standards. A top priority was to ensure the space was inspiring, easy to navigate, well-made, and above all else – stylish, yet approachable for the clothes to take centre stage and inspire shoppers.

Leaning on a minimalistic approach that included a simple but satisfying colour palette of warm cremes, black, and white. This embraced the warm simplicity widely associated with M&S but also tipped more into a premium feel by having more crème colours peppered around to set the space into a more exclusive feel. The sleek curves and minimal features kept the shopper’s navigation journey an easy flow, every item in store had it’s time to shine. Digital screens kept the floor new, eye-catching, and exciting to be a part of.

The launch was successful, with lots of discourse on social media. There was also a mention about the store from the Retail Gazette, highlighting it in a list of the 12 best store openings of 2024. It was a privilege to be part of this exciting launch and partner M&S in their journey as they continue to lead the way in retail innovation.
